POWER LINE HAZARD AWARENESS COURSE


This 2-4 hour course is designed for construction workers and supervisors whose projects place them near overhead and underground power lines. Attendees will learn about the equipment and activities involved in power line contacts, OSHA requirements, protective measures and equipment, emergency procedures and other topics will be presented. Upon completion of the class, attendees will receive a student booklet and a certificate of completion.

Establishing safe power line working clearances
Preventative measures
Protective technologies
Proper response to a power line contact
A systematic approach to power line hazard control
Developing job specific plans
Emergency preparation Training
